Operation Good Dog LLC — Board & Train Service Agreement
This Agreement is made between the Client (as identified on the request form), their dog(s) (hereinafter “Dog”), and Luke Braith, or any employee or agent acting on behalf of Operation Good Dog LLC (hereinafter “Trainer”). This Agreement governs all 4-Week and 6-Week Board & Train programs.
1. Program Description
Operation Good Dog LLC provides immersive board-and-train programs focused on structured obedience, calm behavior, and consistent communication.
4-Week Program: On-leash obedience and reliability around distractions.
6-Week Program: Off-leash reliability and behavior modification, including e-collar conditioning.
2. Client Acknowledgment
Client understands that training results depend on the Dog’s temperament, genetics, prior history, and the Client’s follow-through after the program.
Operation Good Dog LLC does not guarantee specific outcomes or permanent resolution of behavioral issues.
Board & Train programs are designed as intensive foundational training — not a “quick fix.” Continued consistency at home is required to maintain results.
3. Dog Health & Vaccinations
Client warrants that Dog is in good health, physically fit, and free from contagious illness, parasites, or fleas.
Proof of current vaccinations (Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella) must be provided before the program start date.
Dogs must also be on active flea and tick prevention from March through November.
Operation Good Dog LLC reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service for any dog showing signs of illness, injury, or unsafe behavior.
4. Temperament & Eligibility
Dogs must be at least 5 months old and comfortable being kenneled.
Dogs showing aggression toward humans must complete private lessons before eligibility for a board & train program.
Trainer reserves the right to terminate or modify the program if Dog exhibits dangerous or unmanageable behavior. In such cases, the Client will be notified and may be responsible for partial fees.
5. Veterinary Care Authorization
If Dog becomes ill or injured, Trainer will make reasonable efforts to contact Client before seeking care. If unreachable, Trainer is authorized to obtain necessary veterinary treatment as recommended by a licensed veterinarian, up to $5,000 at Client’s expense.
Client agrees to reimburse any veterinary costs immediately upon presentation of an invoice.
6. Training Methods & Tools
Trainer primarily uses positive reinforcement to teach new behaviors, supplemented by a balanced approach grounded in the four quadrants of operant conditioning when appropriate.
Training tools may include slip leads, prong collars, or e-collars, depending on the Dog’s needs and temperament.
All tools are introduced thoughtfully to ensure safety and understanding.
For 6-Week programs, e-collar conditioning is included. The Client will receive and keep the e-collar and any other tools used for ongoing practice at home.
7. Owner Handoff & Follow-Up Lessons
Before Dog returns home, Trainer will conduct a detailed handoff session to demonstrate cues, tools, and structure.
The program includes:
4-Week: Two follow-up lessons.
6-Week: Three follow-up lessons.
These lessons must be scheduled within 60 days of the dog’s return unless otherwise agreed in writing. Missed or expired lessons are forfeited.
8. Payment & Cancellation Policy
A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total program cost is required to reserve training dates.
The remaining balance is due upon drop-off. Cancellations made within 14 days of the scheduled start date will forfeit the deposit. Early withdrawal or program termination by the Client does not entitle Client to a refund, except at Trainer’s sole discretion.
9. Liability & Risk Acknowledgment
Client understands that boarding and training involve inherent risks, including injury, illness, or stress to Dog. Client voluntarily assumes all risks associated with Dog’s participation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Operation Good Dog LLC, its owners, and employees shall not be held liable for any injury, illness, or death of Dog during care, custody, or training, including interactions with other dogs or environmental factors.
Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Operation Good Dog LLC, its owners, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from Dog’s stay or behavior.
9a. Environmental Exposure & Health Risks
Client acknowledges that Operation Good Dog LLC operates on a rural property where dogs may be exposed to natural environmental factors such as wildlife (including but not limited to deer, skunks, raccoons, and rodents), insects, and vegetation.
Despite reasonable safety and sanitation measures, there is an inherent risk of exposure to environmental conditions or pathogens including, but not limited to, ticks, fleas, mosquitoes, and parasites such as Giardia or Coccidia.
Operation Good Dog LLC takes proactive steps to minimize these risks—including maintaining clean facilities, treating the property for pests, and requiring current flea/tick prevention—but cannot guarantee prevention of all possible exposure.
Client agrees that such environmental risks are inherent to outdoor activity and rural boarding, and releases Operation Good Dog LLC, its owners, employees, and agents from liability for any illness, injury, or veterinary expense resulting from such exposures.
10. Photo & Media Release
Client grants permission for photos or videos of Dog to be used by Operation Good Dog LLC for lawful purposes including education, advertising, and social media.
Clients may opt out of this release by written request prior to drop-off.
11. Ongoing Agreement
This Agreement remains in effect for all future board & train services provided by Operation Good Dog LLC unless replaced or amended in writing.
Acknowledgment & Signature
I, the undersigned Client, have read and understand this Agreement and voluntarily agree to its terms.
