Operation Good Dog LLC — Board & Train Service Agreement
(v1.1 – November 2025)
This Agreement is made between the Client (as identified on the request form), their dog(s) (hereinafter “Dog”), and Luke Braith or any employee or agent acting on behalf of Operation Good Dog LLC (hereinafter “Trainer”). This Agreement governs all 4-Week and 6-Week Board & Train programs.
1. Program Description
Operation Good Dog LLC provides immersive board-and-train programs focused on structured obedience, calm behavior, and consistent communication.
4-Week Program: On-leash obedience, manners, and reliability with mild distractions.
6-Week Program: Off-leash foundations, e-collar conditioning, and additional behavior work when appropriate.
2. Client Acknowledgment
Client understands and agrees that:
• Training results depend heavily on the Dog’s temperament, genetics, prior history, and the Client’s follow-through at home.
• Operation Good Dog LLC does not guarantee specific outcomes, behavioral cures, or permanent resolution of any issue.
• Board & Train provides an intensive foundation, not a magic fix. Continued consistency at home is required to maintain results.
• Behavioral issues such as reactivity, anxiety, aggression, fearfulness, or impulsivity often require long-term caregiver participation and structured management beyond the duration of the program.
3. Dog Health & Vaccinations
Client warrants that Dog is in good health, physically fit, free of contagious illness, parasites, and fleas.
Proof of the following vaccinations is required before the start date:
• Rabies
• DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo, Parainfluenza)
• Bordetella
• Lyme (Lyme Disease Vaccine)
Dogs must also be on active flea and tick prevention from March through November.
Operation Good Dog LLC reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service if the Dog shows signs of illness, injury, or unsafe behavior.
4. Temperament & Eligibility
• Dogs must be at least 5 months old and comfortable being kenneled.
• Dogs with a bite history toward humans may require private lessons before joining a Board & Train program.
• Trainer may modify or terminate training if Dog exhibits dangerous, unpredictable, or unmanageable behavior. Client will be notified and may be responsible for partial fees.
5. Veterinary Care Authorization
If Dog becomes ill or injured:
• Trainer will make reasonable efforts to contact Client before seeking care.
• If Client cannot be reached, Trainer is authorized to obtain necessary veterinary treatment as determined by a licensed veterinarian, up to $5,000 at Client’s expense.
• Client agrees to reimburse all veterinary charges immediately upon receipt.
6. Training Methods & Tools
Trainer uses positive reinforcement to teach new behaviors and a balanced approach grounded in operant conditioning when appropriate.
Training tools may include:
• Slip leads
• Prong collars
• E-collars (required for 6-Week program)
• Long lines
• Food, toys, or other motivators
Tools are introduced thoughtfully and safely. Clients will receive and keep any tools still needed at the end of the program.
7. Owner Handoff & Follow-Up Lessons
Before Dog returns home, Trainer will conduct a detailed handoff session to teach the Client:
• How to use the cues, tools, and structure the Dog learned
• How to maintain consistency and prevent regression
Included follow-up lessons:
• 4-Week Program: Two in-person follow-ups
• 6-Week Program: Three in-person follow-ups
Follow-ups must be used within 60 days of Dog’s return unless otherwise agreed in writing. Missed, cancelled, or expired lessons are forfeited.
8. Payment & Cancellation Policy
A non-refundable 25% deposit is required to reserve Board & Train dates. Training dates are not confirmed until this deposit is received.
The remaining balance must be paid in full before or at the time of drop-off. Operation Good Dog LLC will not accept Dog into the program until full payment has been received.
Cancellations made after the program has begun, or early withdrawal by the Client, do not qualify for refunds. Any refund considerations are at Trainer’s sole discretion.
Dog will not be released back to Client until all outstanding balances are paid in full.
9. Liability & Risk Acknowledgment
Client understands that boarding and training involve inherent risks, including illness, injury, escape, stress, or death, despite reasonable precautions.
